Happy 40th birthday Havas Lynx

I was delighted to attend my old design agency's 40th birthday party. Formerly Creative Lynx, now called Havas Lynx, a global agency specialising in the pharmaceutical sector, we came together to celebrate this incredible milestone.

Founded in 1986 by two brothers, Stuart and Simon Wilson, Creative Lynx grew from humble beginnings but always had big ambitions. Building a reputation for place marketing and playing a significant role in the growth in Manchester's success, the team had grown to around 30+ people when I joined in 2002.

I really enjoyed my five years there and I'm proud to have played a small part in the company's growth.

After a tour of their stunning new offices in the Circle Square development in Manchester, it was great to catch up with some old friends (pictured above, Alexa, Lisa and Bob). Lisa was in fact Stuart and Simon's first employee and remarkably, despite all the change, still works there to this day!

It was great to get the opportunity to thank Stuart once again for the opportunity and responsibility he gave me at the time and for the beautiful typography book he bought me when I left in 2007, about the work of esteemed Swiss designer, Josef Müller-Brockmann.
